Erika & JP {Wedding #1}

May 21, 2009 the 10 year dating anniversary of Erika and JP and their wedding day! Erika and JPs anniversary fell on a Thursday and they wanted to keep the same date so they recited their vows in a simple ceremony at JPs parents house. Only close friends and immediate family were present at the intimate ceremony. JPs mother, Connie, was the officiant and performed a beautiful ceremony that brought tears to many.

I met up with Erika at the salon where she also works as an esthetician, Cara Mia, in Ventura. Desiree did a beautiful job on her makeup!

The groom’s cake was so cute! JP is in a band called “Breathe Deep” and he plays the drums so Erika had his favorite cake (banana) made into the cutest cake drum set! It was a total hit.

After dinner a few people said a few words about Erika and JP and these are their reactions:

I don’t know if you could tell in any of the others pictures but JP has his thumb bandaged. Well, JP owns a construction company, Wellik Constructions, and a few days before the wedding he almost cut his thumb off entirely. That being said when it was time to loosen his collar a little he was having a hard time unbuttoning so Erika had to help him. He has a pathetic help me face here:

I’m pretty much obsessed with this pic. When it was time to take some lovely couples portraits JP was messing around and showed us his Twilight moves. I love how Erika just looks so beautiful and happy and he really looks rather vampire-like.
