The paper flower ball in this sequence was Erika’s idea. She saw it hanging in a display in the Thousand Oaks Mall and had to have it. So she bought all the supplies and recruited everyone she knew to help make them and they turned out to be the hardest darn things to make! We were cursing them for weeks! It was really fun though, I’m not gonna lie.
While we were making all them paper flower balls, Alex kept telling us stories of chocolate cake shots and said she was going to make them while we were getting ready. She said they tasted exactly like a bite of chocolate cake. She’s also not a liar, they really did! I handed my camera to Erika’s friend, Danielle, for the picture below that has me in it and of course I blinked!

I think these might be my favorite three shots from the day. I know that’s a strong statement but I just love them so.
