Cat Hair Management

If you have cats, or even dogs for that matter, then you know what I’m talking about. I have two cats, Sammi and Murray, and I have cat hair coming out of my ears…literally. I mean I get it in my eyes and mouth and forget about wearing black and sitting on my couch, BIG MISTAKE. When I get dressed in the morning I can’t sit on any furniture before leaving the house and I keep a lint roller in the garage for one last sweep before leaving. But lint rollers aren’t enough to try and manage this problem. It takes sheet after sheet just to get a pair of pants cat free, and trying to use a lint roller on the couch or bedspread is just ridiculous, that’s like a 20 sheet project right there. Over time I have found a couple of products that have helped the problem.

First up, the Furminator. It is the terminator for cat hair. Stop cat hair BEFORE it gets everywhere. I got all this cat hair with just a couple of strokes. And the cats love getting brushed with it which is a bonus.

Next up, my new toy, the Pledge Fabric Sweeper. This is perfect for getting pet hair off large fabric surfaces. The only bummer is you can’t open it up to empty out the cat hair. It looks like you can, but you can’t. So once it’s full to the trash can it goes. But they say it gets the equivalent of 145 lint roller sheets worth of pet hair.

While I had the camera out, the kiddos INSISTED on getting their pictures taken. I’m not kidding, they kept getting all up in my lens and they always get what they want so here’s a couple of my faves. :)
