The Way I See Canada

Guess what?? I went to Canada! Yeah, I’m sure you already knew that, but I’m still excited about it. I went up there to shoot Brittany and Ian’s destination wedding. Brittany wanted a snowy white wedding with snow covering everything. Well, unfortunately, El Nino hit and forced all the cold weather down to California! What are the chances of that! But, fortunately, there was still snow on the ground. I’ll show you guys the wedding later this week. But for now I wanted to show a few pictures of Canada. Starting with the hotel. I absolutely loved the hotel I stayed in. It’s a really old house (MANSION) that has been renovated into a hotel.

Sooooo, the only rule of Langdon Hall is you are not allowed to take a picture of Langdon Hall. Oops. I figured this one was okay because it’s from a distance and the reason they have the rule is because they have a lot of high profile clients and they want to protect their privacy. You can shoot everything else around the hotel except for the front of the hotel.

Little snippets of my room. I’ll show more when I show the bride getting ready.

After the wedding, I put on all the clothes I brought and went exploring. Here are some of the things I saw on my little hike.

Pretty much the only thing I really wanted to see was some icicles. This was the only one I could find!

This totally reminds me of the Secret Garden, aka the best story ever!

I couldn’t believe how red this red twiggy bush was!

The main reason for my exploration was to check out this waterfall.

I climbed back through all the brush to get to the top of it. Took a lot longer than you would think!

At the top of the waterfall you can see the lake that feeds into the water that falls. It’s so cool, that you can see the layer of ice and the water that comes out from under it.

I did not realize when I was taking this next picture that you can see my reflection in the water!

I thought this was cool too…the droplets of water would splash up and freeze together! You can see the water splashing underneath the ice that has formed.

When I turned around and saw the rusty pick axes, I figured it was about time to head back.
