Monkeys in Honduras

We are now back in Cali, trying to figure out what exactly needs to get done after being gone for 21 days! I’ve already started to post some pics from the trip and I’m slowly going to keep posting different portions of the trip. I originally blogged that we were going to Costa Rica, but at the last minute we changed it and ended up going on a Mexican cruise instead.

On the Cruise, one of our stops was an island in Honduras. We stopped at a monkey farm and it was pretty much the highlight of the entire trip. I LOVE monkeys, and being able to play with monkeys was a life goal. Unfortunately, on this day of the trip we left our fancy camera (Nikon D700 with 24-70mm 2.8) back on the boat. So these are all pictures from either the point and shoot we purchased for our trip and our iPhone. We actually ended up liking the quality of the iPhone pics instead of the point and shoot.

The second we walked into the 2nd cage, this little monkey was in my purse before I even knew what was happening. He grabbed my sunscreen and took off and started to open it all in an instant. We got it back from him and it still worked.

Here are some pics from that camera that we didn’t really like, even though the quality isn’t grand, the progression of events is still good.:)

This is a video Mike took on the iPhone:

iPhone Pics of the Trip

Row 1:
1. My feet on a cobblestone road in downtown Richmond, Virginia.
2. Red, white, and blue street lines in Connecticut.
3. One of my favorite photos: the trees in the fog by Thomas Jefferson’s house.

Row 2:
1. The prettiest purple berries in Virginia.
2. Mike and I looking like dorky tourists at Thomas Jefferson’s house, with matching sweaters and all.
3. The brick bridge to Thomas Jefferson’s house.

Row 3:
1. The cutest little bengal tiger EVER. About 2.5 months old. I would have given anything to pet this little guy.
2. Tourist area of Thomas Jefferson’s house.
3. In Mexico, while we were on the cruise you could see the rain pouring under these clouds in the distance and I thought it was so cool.
