I’ve probably mentioned that before. But I really do have the best job in the world. I’ve gotten to see so many different types of religious and cultural weddings. It’s like being a wedding photographer = studying anthropology (and Anthropologie is my favorite store, coincidence? I think not). Marianne Wilson invited me along to this beautiful wedding at Hartley Botanica in Somis, CA. This was the first Jewish wedding I’ve ever attended and it was a lot of fun.

Before the ceremony, the guys and the girls are kept separate. And then right before the ceremony the groom goes over to the girls only party with his whole entourage of guys to make sure that the bride is really his bride.

So then he “veils” her, verifying that this is the woman he has agreed to marry.

Another sweet look. :) Hartley Botanica has a really cool ceremony setup; I was able to go behind the minister and get some sniper shots of their faces, yet I was completely hidden from the view of guests! Win-win situation.
